1. Basics of drafting in ClauseBase
As is the case for each tutorial, you need to login to a special environment for tutorials and testing: https://sandbox.clausebase.com. This environment is completely separated from the main environment (such as https://app.clausebase.com or https://nl.clausebase.com) where you store your "real content", so as to allow full experimentation without repercussions.
The special tutorials & testing environment has its own login credentials. Please contact your administrator, or ClauseBase itself, if you have not received these credentials.
Introduction to this tutorial
Drafting documents in ClauseBase is an intuitive process that boils down to three major steps:
1. Find the right template document to start working from (or the right clauses if you are drafting from scratch) in your organisation’s library.
2. Implement the right clauses and make sure that everything is in the right place.
3. Finetune the document by engaging with the intelligence included in the clauses.
For the sake of this tutorial, you will be drafting a non-disclosure agreement from scratch, using pre-made tutorial clauses.
To start drafting, navigate to the document assembly mode by clicking at the top left-hand side of your screen. Click on to create a blank document and you will be greeted with the following screen:
We will be exploring all the functionalities present in this mode shortly. If you are already familiar with the buttons presented here, feel free to skip ahead to the start of the tutorial. If not, take a look at the next page for a breakdown of what each button does.
